Gail Bower specializes in increasing the visibility, revenue and impact of nonprofit organizations. She is a professional consultant, writer and speaker, with 20 years of experience managing some of the nation's most important events, festivals and sponsorships. She founded Bower & Co. in 1987. Ted Mowatt, CAE, is a second-generation lobbyist and association executive. He served for 13 years as government affairs director for the PA Optometric Association prior to joining Wanner Associates as senior associate in 1999. He is a past president of the PA Association for Government Relations and is a representative to the PA Alliance of Health Care Providers on behalf of several clients. Mowatt is well known and highly regarded in the Pennsylvania Capitol. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Pennsylvania State University in 1983.
Robert Hay Jr. is manager of public policy for ASAE. He is a federal lobbyist who manages issues such as health care, tax policy and lobbying reform. He has helped author ASAE guides on topics such as federal lobbying reform. He holds a masters degree in congressional studies from Catholic University, is a member of the American League of Lobbyists, and previously worked in the U.S. Senate

Kent Frese is the President of Leadership Management Institute and is a recognized expert in leadership development, strategic planning, business development and operations process improvement. He has more than 20 years of practical experience in organizational leadership and development. He has a degree in electrical engineering form Villanova University and is a certified facilitator for Leadership Management Inc. and Teleometrics International.
Dr. Ray Gibney was affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh prior to joining Penn State Harrisburg in 2007. His primary teaching responsibilities focus on human resource management and organizational behavior at the undergraduate and graduate level. His primary research interests include research design and procedures, employee beliefs and attitudes surrounding the employer-employee relationship and labor unions. Prior to obtaining his doctorate, he worked as a consultant for firms such as PeopleSoft and Coopers & Lybrand. He has consulted on various human resource related issues across diverse industries.

Ms. Jablonowski is currently the President of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of ISES: International Special Event Society. This prestigous group of business partners represents the supplier and planner and develops, among it programs, educational sessions designed to maintain cutting edge knowledge of event planning. With over 20 years of business experience, Phyllis spearheads a successful event and production company while nurturing three children and a husband of 22 years.
Kimberly Nash is Director of Human Resource Services for Alpha Benefits. She works with clients providing human resource services including HR compliance audits, training, and outsourced or co-sourced HR management. She also serves as a part-time instructor for Villanova University teaching the PHR/SPHR certification course for human resource professionals. Mrs. Nash holds the Senior Professional Human Resource certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. She is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Education. Currently, she is enrolled in the MBA/Human Resource Management program at the University of Phoenix. Locally, Mrs. Nash is the President of the Human Resource Professionals of Central Pennsylvania and serves on their board. In addition, she serves as a board member for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and its Human Resource subcommittee.

October 4, 2006 - PASAE Foundation River Walk 'n' Cruise
THE RIVERBOAT CRUISE IS SOLD OUT! But we can still accept walkers for the 2006 River Walk 'n' Cruise. Come out and spend some time in the outdoors while raising money for the PASAE Foundation. Valley Forge Convention and Visitors Bureau is the Grand Sponsor of the 2006 River Walk 'n' Cruise! The event begins with a walk along the Susquehanna Riverfront, followed by a cruise aboard The Pride of the Susquehanna riverboat. The cruise will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash-only bar. Get your team together and design a special T-shirt to wear during the walk. Prizes will be given for the best T-shirts!

September 8, 2006 - Professional Development Session, Networking Luncheon
Two professional development workshops will be held. Steve Golin of The Glatfelter Agency, York, will speak on creating a health insurance plan for your members. Michael Horan of JPL Productions will speak on "Today's Successful Meetings: Creating Engaging, Entertaining and Effective Messages." Twin Brook Winery will provide wine-tasting during the networking reception. Complimentary golf will be offered after the networking luncheon, which will be held in Willow Valley's famous Palm Court. You must register in advance for golf by calling the Willow Valley Pro Shop at 717-464-4448 and asking for Ron Wolff. You must say you are with PASAE and you must present your business card upon arrival.

Patrick Haggerty has covered Congress, the White House and the federal agencies as a journalist. He has been a frequent guest on "The Larry King Show," has served as a political news consultant to "Good Morning America," has worked on four presidential campaigns and served as press secretary to three members of Congress.
