Job Title: Assistant Director of Advocacy/Government Affairs Assistant Director of Advocacy/Government Affairs sought by local conservative construction trade association in the Lancaster area. Candidate is responsible for supporting and executing the mission and objectives of the association’s Advocacy/Government Affairs Department, including the labor relations, government relations, lobbying/legislative, political action, grassroots and legal/regulatory compliance programs and services. Successful candidate will assemble highly confidential and sensitive information, as well as draft policy statements, analyze legislation/regulations, lobby and engage with a diverse group of government officials, visitors and members. Additionally, this position plans and coordinates meetings and conferences, plans and coordinates direct mailings and is responsible for special projects. Other responsibilities include administrative support activities including scheduling, record keeping, answering correspondence. Required education and experience: associate’s degree; one year of related experience. Hours are M-F, 8 – 5; excellent benefits included. Salary commensurate with experience.
