Professional Development Sessions Preparing the Event for a Crisis: This session will equip event planners for the critical things to look for to ensure that your event is safe. Event planners will learn key questions to ask at potential sites to ensure that the event is held in safe and secure environments. Critical issues will be discussed such as what security should the venue provide and what actions should be taken in a fire, weather, or disaster situation. Additional topics will include the top ten things to ask when planning an event from a safety standpoint and what to do if something happens during one of your events.
