Professional Development Sessions

millerPreparing the Event for a Crisis: This session will equip event planners for the critical things to look for to ensure that your event is safe. Event planners will learn key questions to ask at potential sites to ensure that the event is held in safe and secure environments. Critical issues will be discussed such as what security should the venue provide and what actions should be taken in a fire, weather, or disaster situation. Additional topics will include the top ten things to ask when planning an event from a safety standpoint and what to do if something happens during one of your events. This training is designed to equip event planners for what to think about and what to do if they have concerns about their events.

Preparing the Event Planner for a Crisis:This session provides specific training on how to handle a crisis situation. This training will provide highly interactive and dynamic training on how the mind and body will respond in a crisis, what things you can do to prepare for a potential crisis, and specific training for how to successfully navigate a crisis. This training is based on the latest scientific research on "fight, flight, or freeze" and is designed to provide practical training for how to succeed in a crisis situation.

Tim Miller is the President of LionHeart International Services Group, a Florida based security consulting and training group.
