Job Title: Manager, Workforce & Strategic Initiatives

LeadingAge PA, a statewide Association representing nonprofit senior services providers, seeks an energetic, creative individual to establish and implement workforce development programming for the benefit of our members.

Duties would include, but not be limited to:

  • Oversee development, tracking, and implementation of annual workforce development work plan.
  • Responsible, in collaboration with Education and Research staff, for development and implementation of educational opportunities pertaining to workforce.
  • Convene teams to design and implement new tools, initiatives, and services for workforce issues. 
  • Serve as content expert and point person for staff, members, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide project leadership, technical assistance, and guidance in the development of new programs.
  • Represent the Association, membership, and key programs at external meetings and events.
  • Work with communications team to grow awareness and inspire participation in key programs.
  • In collaboration with other team members design and oversee process for soliciting and reviewing proposals from training providers, including process for evaluation of training content.
  • Assist in the development of training programs (outsourced or in-house) based on training goals, audience, setting, available resources, consulting stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Deploy training programs to partner organizations and maintain an updated curriculum/training database and training records.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of training needs and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed to meet overall organizational goals.
  • Evaluate state and national workforce programs to identify new grants, strategies, or partnerships.

Candidates should possess self-directed ability to organize and manage multiple work plans and projects with attention to detail. Prior experience in a similar role or in the senior services field is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in, and comfort with leading groups and public speaking are essential. Knowledge of learning management systems and web-based training delivery tools is a plus. Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit desired.
