Intro to Foresight – Getting Ready to Discuss the Future of Your Association

Overview

Have you been seeing and hearing more about foresight and the future? Are you still a bit unsure of how you might be able to facilitate these discussions within your own association? Do you know that there is association-specific research that can make your discussions much easier to approach and add to your already full to-do list?
This session allows you to work with the ASAE Foundation’s ForesightWorks research program. Plan to join this interactive session where attendees will discuss and interpret the most current “futures” information. Be prepared to discuss ideas of how the change drivers identified might impact associations of the future.

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the difference between Strategic Planning and Foresight
• Become familiar with the ASAE Foundation #ForesightWorks trends resources
• Identify a few practical ideas of how you might be able to build a culture of foresight in your own organization.
